Custom development, from brief to scale-up
Standard fruit profiles are a starting point. Most first orders are a preparation tuned to one line: the filler, the freezer, the oven or the bottle. Frootrition works that brief in three steps.
01
Brief
You share the application, the fruit, the process (heat, freeze, bake or cold hold) and the pack you have in mind.
02
Pilot sample
We prepare a pilot sample against that brief, with the fruit, the format and the allergens written down for the trial.
03
Scale-up
After the sample works on your line, repeat batches follow the agreed brief through a licensed manufacturing route.
What to put in the brief
- Finished product: yoghurt, dahi, shrikhand, flavoured milk, ice cream, sorbet, water ice, a bakery line, a HoReCa dessert or a café drink
- Fruit, and whether you need a preparation, a ripple, a sorbet or water-ice base, or an inclusion
- Process points: heat, freeze, bake, or cold hold
- Whether you want the standard preparation, or a reduced-sugar option on request
- Allergens already in the finished product, including nuts
- The city of the plant
What comes back with a sample
A written note with the sample: the fruit and the format, the application it was made for, and the allergens. It is agreed for that sample. It is not a universal specification, and it is not a formula.
If the fruit should wear your brand rather than ours, see private label and co-packing.
